Guardians spring training preview for Sunday
CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Guardians played to a 4-4 tie on Saturday after Chris Roller scored on a wild pitch in the eighth inning by Oakland’s Drew Steckenrider. Cleveland’s Cactus League record entering play on Sunday is 4-4-1 as Triston McKenzie gets ready for his second exhibition start.
Manager Terry Francona’s lineup against the Diamondbacks includes a familiar first four of Steven Kwan, Amed Rosario, Jose Ramirez and Josh Bell as well as All-Star second baseman Andres Gimenez and projected starting catcher Mike Zunino. Prospect Micah Pries, who is swinging a hot bat after picking up his second home run of the spring on Saturday is also in the lineup. Center fielder Myles Straw will make his second start after being delayed by a sore right knee.
