Grand Central Terminal (GCT, often called Grand Central Station or simply Grand Central) is a terminal station at 42nd Street and Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan in New York City (United States). Built and named for the New York Central Railroad in the heyday of long-distance trains in the United States, it is the largest train station in the world by number of platforms: 3 44, with 67 tracks throughout the station . There are two levels, both underground, with 41 tracks on the upper level and 26 on the lower level. When the new Long Island Railroad station is opened below the existing levels (see East Side Access) Grand Central Station will have a total of 75 tracks and 48 platforms. Its brick vaults patented by Rafael Guastavino, called "The architect of New York", are characteristic.

Descripción

Ever buzzing with NYU students, street performers, first daters, and tourists snapping photos of the famed Arc-de-Triomphe lookalike, Washington Square Park is the place to be for people-watching, casual picnics, and a good old game of chess.

While the main attraction is undoubtedly the arch built to honor honoring George Washington, the park also hosts regular events like Tai Chi in the Park, and is a frequent stop on history-themed walking tours of Greenwich, Noho, and Soho.
