Several people were killed and injured in at least two explosions recorded this Thursday (08.26.2021) outside the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, where thousands of Afghan citizens were crowded trying to leave the country on international evacuation flights.

The first of the explosions took place around 6:20 p.m. in Kabul near one of the airport gates, according to the Afghan news network Ariana News. Local media released images of the place in which several lifeless bodies can be seen, as well as the injured being transferred to hospitals, after a first powerful outbreak.
